How to delete your KarmaFlow account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the KarmaFlow app. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Open the KarmaFlow app
  2. Tap the “Profile” tab in the bottom navigation
  3. In the “Settings” section, tap “App settings”
  4. Scroll all the way down
  5. Tap “Delete account”
  6. Confirm the deletion in the dialog

What happens after deletion?

Deleted immediately (soft delete)

Your account is deactivated immediately. You can no longer log in and your data is no longer publicly visible.

Permanently deleted after 30 days (hard delete)

The following data is irrevocably removed 30 days after the deletion:

  • Account data: email address, first name, encrypted password
  • Journal entries: all entries and AI evaluations
  • Statistics: progress values, logged obstacles and experiment suggestions, weekly review and 30-day profile, streaks, levels, dimensions, achievements
  • Feedback: submitted feedback entries and bug reports
  • Consents: consent events (push notifications, analytics)
  • Session data: access and refresh tokens

Retained for longer (legal obligation)

  • Payment data: If you had a Premium subscription, payment information is retained for up to 10 years in accordance with tax retention periods (§ 147 of the German Fiscal Code, AO). Payment processing is handled via Stripe or Google Play / Apple — we do not store credit card or bank details.

Alternative: deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can also request deletion by email:

Write to Write an email with the subject “Delete account” and the email address you registered with. We will confirm the deletion within 48 hours.
