How is my karma calculated?

How it works

After you submit, the evaluation shows "Karma for this action" — a value between 0 and +3:

• +3 for a clearly recognisable, completed action with context
• +2 for a recognisable action
• +1 for a small, concrete step — that counts too
• 0 when no action is recognisable in the text (just a word, a platitude)

Karma is never deducted. There are no negative points.

More is not better

The value describes how tangible an action is in your entry — not how valuable it was. A small, fitting step counts as much as a big one.

Karma is not the main number

The actual evaluation is the assignment to one of the six mechanisms and the signal strength of that assignment. Signal strength says how clearly the mechanism is recognisable in the text — it does not rate your action.

Karma and level run alongside and live in Profile under Karma and level. They deliberately don’t appear on the Home tab.
